The Wines of Italy

Wine roads of Italy
will surely entertain

Italy, that word just conjures up images of bountiful grapes, prestigious vineyards, beautiful and remote monasteries and some of the best culinary tradition ever.  Bologna is the land of Parmesan, balsamic vinegar, prosciutto and tortellini.  As you travel along the valleys and vineyards stopping for a glass pf wine, you will start to understand the rhythm of life here.  Indulge yourself, you’ve earned it!

Italy is a country rich in archaeological history, spectacular cities where the past is forever present and people just waiting for the chance to share with you their wine, food and culture.  There are so many different wine regions in this country, you could travel 10 different trips and never repeat the same one.

You may even wish to join a group of local oenophiles who travel to Northern Italy to attend VinItaly in April quite regularly and this prestigious event gets sold out every year.  With so many choices, what are you waiting for, better get started.

Tuscany

Known for its Chianti, you can stroll through pristine medieval towns such as Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano while taking in the dramatic vistas with vineyards an olive trees.  Maybe you would like to explore the coastal villages of the colorful, dramatically beautiful Italian Riviera in Cinque Terre.

Piedmont

The gentle hills in the Barolo and Barbaresco wine country with vineyards, orchards, fields and medieval castles is a great choice.  While there, try the most famous wine now, Moscato d’Asti.  The entire  country is landscaped with vineyards and orchards.  There are so many various wine regions to explore.

Veneto

Veneto’s vast output of Prosecco, Soave and varietal Pinot Grigio, which may not boost their reputation for fine wine-but also produces on of the world’s richest, finest wines-Ararome della Valplicella.
