The Wonder Down Under

If I love some of the wines I have tasted on my trip, how do I bring or ship those bottles of wine home?

Australia

The Wonder Down Under

This massive country has not only fantastic wines, it has superb food, amazing wildlife, incredible natural beauty, vibrant cities and the friendliest people on earth.  You truly MUST visit this country at least once in your lifetime but then you will find you will return again and again.

There are so many wonderful wine regions, it’s hard to know just where to start.  I would suggest a few days in Sydney first, taking in the Opera House, possibly climb the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and of course have dinner and drinks down at the Rocks and watch the water and sunset.  This is about the most perfect city, but then you get to Melbourne… it is maybe even better!!!

A short distance away are wineries, along with activities such as going out in the wild watching a mob of kangaroos – as they are watching you- and hunting for those elusive yet darling koalas.  The beaches, Great Barrier Reef, Kangaroo Island “known as the Galapagos of the South Pacific” are just a few other sights that will keep you returning to this magnificent county again and again.

Hunter Valley

From fine wine and gourmet food to beautiful accommodation and fabulous events, a Hunter Valley getaway offers a taste of the good life.  Australia’s most visited wine region is home to more than 150 top-class wineries, vineyards and cellar doors as well as superb restaurants.

YARRA Valley

Head south to Melbourne and enjoy the Yarra Valley to taste those wonderful cool climate wines.  The extraordinary thing is that these wineries are not that crowded, the winemaker not only takes you through his vineyards and winery, he will sit down to have a few glasses of his trade and a wonderful lunch paired with the wonderful wine, such a delightful day.  Mornington Peninsula is another great wine area that can be visited while in Melbourne.

THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD

Then it is off to see the Great Ocean Road and along the way you can visit McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley in Adelaide.  We work closely with a host of wineries that are committed to celebrating the best of their regions through diverse yet quintessentially Australian experiences and hospitality.  Great restaurants, charming resorts among the vineyards, tours and fascinating behind-the-scenes winery and epicurean experiences are just waiting for you.

TASMANIA

Tasmania is beautiful and GREEN. The cool climate and mild summers are perfect for Chardonnays, Sparklings and aromatic Pinot Noir.

What customers say

  • No detail is left undone. Val has great rapport as well as a positive reputation with other travel industry people (wineries, hotels, cruise lines, etc.). After many years in the travel industry, her enthusiasm is contagious, and she obviously LOVES her job, although I don’t think she sees it as a job.
